DC1TC – TobiasToday was the first time an “official” was interested in my activation. We used the hot weather to spend the day at the beach and I set up right next to the trail #DE0842 Ostseeküsten-Route EV10. After 30min the Ordnungsamt (regulatory agency) stopped by and asked what the heck I was doing on the “playground”. To not be too confrontational, I asked if they want me to tear the station down and if I could operate from the beach instead. So I did 1h later, once there were fewer people on the beach.
Today’s #POTA was the #ATNO trail #DE0842 Baltic Sea route EV 10, which I activated alongside the trail references #DE0550 and #DE0622 (both trail E9), from the beach on Priwall near Travemünde.
Such beautiful, frequented locations during good weather don’t come without a catch: I suddenly had to pause mid-QSO for a couple minutes when a small child ran to the antanna to sit down in the middle of the radials. 🫠
