Some reading for the evening. I have just picked up a Dapol D6300 for my UK micro layout - seems a lovely model but I haven’t run it yet.
The British 6300s were short-lived (about 10 years service) diesel-hydraulics. Built by North British in Glasgow and using German designed MAN engines and transmissions.
They were ugly and had spoked wheels, but interesting. I also used to own a cab seat from one of them. Wish I’d kept it now.
