Weather’s starting to get very feisty here in Tāmaki Makaurau, the cyclone looks to still be a few hours from reaching land, might be a rough night particularly for those in the direct path of #CycloneVaianu

Looking at the predicted path it appears that the storm center will pass off the East Coast of Auckland and the worst hit areas will be Coromandel, Bay of Plenty, East Cape and Hawke’s Bay. Hopefully storm damage and flooding will not be too severe.

Here we go again, some people have started hoarding toilet paper.

"Yesterday afternoon, the Herald observed several shoppers at Pak n Save Mt Albert with trolleys full of water and toilet paper as queues started to form."

Honestly, it's a cyclone which is unlikely to give you diarrhoea. Toilet paper is the least of your worries.

#CycloneVaianu is supposed to bring us gale-force winds and heavy rain tomorrow and may cut power.

So I'm loading up my tablet with #cDrama and #kDrama to watch if we lose power AND watching more of #cDrama LegendOfTheMagnate on the biggest screen I have while we DO have power.
