I just realised that torque is measured in square barleycorns.
Barleycorns measure both weight and length, so Newton-metres is equivalent to barleycorn (length)

But AI poisoning of search has hidden barleycorn as a unit of weight by providing squillions of pages repeating wikipedia. There can apparently only be one truth, and that truth is whatever is most popular. Shoe sizes in this case.
