@massivelyop I once bought #blackdesertonline when it was on sale for $5 and I think I only played it a few times. Ah also when I bought 2 copies of #crowfall for the early access. That's when I learned I am not really into true early access games. That was rough. #suchpotential
@massivelyop I've got to go with #Crowfall all the way. The idea of isolated temporary servers where players and guilds would fight out until someone was the victor is great. They had ideas for FFA servers too. And once someone was declared winner the server would close and new ones would spin up. It would make it so the game could actually have an Excalibur that only one player gets and isn't that exciting if you got it. But then it would just reset and it would be out there again.
@massivelyop let the vets vet. Mostly it doesn't bother me so much. The idea of a fresh start server is probably stranger to me than anything else. For the concepts in #crowfall it was great but for a normal PvE game I just don't get it

#libros #books #topfantasia

@Gazimoff Crowfall is a lesson learned that the vocal minority is not the right audience to be listening to because if they are all who show up... well they are not enough to keep things moving. #crowfall did have some charm though and I did have some fun nights in PvP. Hoping they do figure out some way to bring it back.

#ashesofcreation is so much copium but also seems like a design that is 15 years too late. At least starting to look better in their updates.

Just musing about some of the big bet video game kickstarters. It’s been a real mixed bag.

#Dauntless - still live, still being played.

#Crowfall - offline, presumed dead.

#StarCitizen - where scope can barely keep pace with funding

#AshesOfCreation - conflicts between unreal upgrades and real resourcing. Currently shroedinger’s MMO.

Nobody in the MMORPG community was particularly surprised to learn this week that Crowfall’s new – and very quiet – owners have decided to pull the crowdfunded throne war MMO offline later this month as they purportedly put it back into development and “map out the future of the game.” Needless to say, that isn’t #Crowfall https://gamesense.co/game/crowfall/news/discuss/make-my-mmo-the-crowfall-autopsy/
