Americans’ credit card debt hits a record $1 trillion - This is a huge concern and risk to the US economy, as rates and defaults rise. It’s just unimaginable that the average car loan payment is almost $1,000/month at this point - and going up. Folks with adjustable mortgages on their homes are suffering - and missing payments. And the freaking rental rates for modest lodging is off-the-charts. So we ‘put it on the card’ hoping for future relief that may not, likely will not come.
