It's a fabulous combination of coziness (so much delicious food and delightful magic!) and spookiness (it actually gets surprisingly dark for an MG at times - this is definitely an older MG book) and I raced through it all, having a wonderful time along the way. Set in a sentient magical inn (Ravenfall) around Halloween, it stars Anna (the youngest daughter of the innkeeper, who feels her own magical powers aren't as impressive as her siblings' powers) and Colin, who comes to Ravenfall as a refuge against the magical threat that just murdered his parents and ends ...
