I’m curious to hear from people who got a dog during COVID isolation. What experiences have you had? We got an Aus. Shepherd and he’s the first reactive dog we’ve ever had. Our trainer said that’s normal for COVID dogs. He’s highly reactive, scare of new things, and doesn’t like most people or dogs. The trainer is the only person to make it into the house in three years.
We have hope for our pup, but it’s been hard. What’s it been like for you? #coviddogs #dogsofmastodon

'Close to 100% accuracy': Helsinki airport uses sniffer dogs to detect Covid

Researchers running Helsinki pilot scheme say dogs can identify virus in seconds

@SusanHR The situation in China is unprecedented with the rise in cases. What happened to the #CovidDogs?

There is so much we can do and, obviously, this shouldn't be restricted to them(!)

It isn't a magic bullet, and nobody thinks it is. But, reducing transmission at an early stage has it its benefits. It allows time to respond further to take appropriate action. Currently, it is left to 'personal responsibility' to stop infections, and that simply isn't working.

Should the UK government implement #ProtectiveMeasures measures to prevent rapidly emerging new #Covid variants arriving from China 🇨🇳 ?
