Support and Solidarity with the
All India General Strike on January 8th 2020

Coopon Scitech LLP extends its full support to the working class fighting for its livelihood, rights, dignity and security against a blatantly anti-people regime. The current governement has consistently failed to work for the betterment of the working class who are now facing a threat to their livelihood.

This government has failed to support small businesses which are the backbone of the Indian economy. The ruse of Startup India, Digital India, Make in India and Mudhra Loans largely favours a niche and priviledged section of the society which isn’t working for their livelihood. The everyday micro/small level entrepreneur is still struggling with predatory credit, lack of resources for legal compliance, accounting, inventory management and easy & safe credit from the
formal sector.

The workers have faced countless problems in earning their daily bread with little or no regard by the government for their rights, dignity and security. The advent of gig economy (Ola, Uber, Zomato, Swiggy) has formalized the increasing
precarity of work. This has only worsened with this government’s attack on labour rights and minimum wage.

This government’s approach to Intellectual Property and Venture Capital is a threat to the economic sovereignty of this nation by allowing numerous foreign entities to absorb the innovation and intellectual labour without creating the
necessary infrastructure to foster indigenous independent entreprenuership.
