With my unique combination of education and real-world experience as both a business professional and musician, I understand both sides of the #BandcampUnited / #Songtradr situation quite well, so here's my take:

Bandcamp is the best music platform in the world, for both artists and fans, and there's a very good reason for that: Bandcamp has always employed the very best people. Without all of the hardworking people who built it from the ground up, Bandcamp would be just another music retailer website, one among many thousands of utterly forgettable commercial ventures exploiting the labor of artists and and selling little pieces of their souls for pennies of profit.
