Das Grundproblem ist, dass selbst wenn sich die #Konserven magisch über nacht plötzlich besinnen & aufhören würden, den rechten Rand durch volle Übernahme seiner Themen zu stützen, würde es unglaublich viel Zeit brauchen bevor sich erste Effekte zeigen. Zumal der #Rechtsdruck durch #CommercialSocialMedia und die "klassischen" #Medien ja weiter besteht.

Und die Wahrscheinlichkeit für diesen "#PolitikWechsel" ist nahe Null.

Commerical social media just served up an ad for a book touted "James Patterson meets the apocalypse," which is so many things I would never ever want to see all at once. It makes me feel comforted that algorithms are pretty much never going to get a handle on who I am.

Zecharias Zechalem provides deeply researched insight into how Ethiopeans in search of work get lured into forced labor in Saudi Arabia through misinforming Facebook pages and ads. Apparently FB doesn't do much against that, and provides no moderation or counter measures for this in that corner of Africa/Arabic states.

This is yet another example of how big tech may be quick to respond to consumer demands in North America, but when it comes to non English speaking populations in impoverished countries, they're slow to address real life devastation their tools cause.

They have to do better.
