Okay, I started this pair of socks maybe two years back as a project to test and improve my #colourworkknitting. I love octopodes and this was just too cute to stay a single sock. No way am I gonna frog it, so finish it is. Oof, wish me luck!
Intentional holes: mitten edition!
The pattern for these mitts called for a normal closed thumb but since it's hardly ever below freezing here I put in a few rounds of ribbing and left them open. They're optimized for playing Pikmin Bloom on my late night dog walks and fitting in my pocket so I never forget them in the chaos of getting an excited pup out the door.
Pattern: Glitz Mitts from the book Knit Happy with Self Striping Yarn.
Yarn: leftover knit picks rainbow felici and leftover misti tui alpaca

#Fiberuary post 2: yesterday's finish!
These are the Glitz Mitts from Knit Happy with Self Striping Yarn. They use two different weights of yarn and in my case the grey is alpaca for extra warmth! I'm calling these my Pikmin mitts because I left the thumbd unclosed so I can play Pikmin Bloom while my dog reads his pee-mail on the late night walks.
Hatch climbed into my chair so I used him as a photo backdrop.
If you want to join in to the #Fiberuary fun, here's the prompts

Grafting magic + finished cowl with new glasses chosen by my kid!
Cowl knitting by the fire. Very happy that past me cleared off most of the hearth for this. â€ïž
I love the huge difference in colour palette between my #WinterSkiesAdvent cowl on the left vs my #RainbowOfEmotions shawl on the right.
I finished a big motif! I'm amused that the knit-a-long group seems to be having a tiny debate about if this is a snowflake or pine boughs. What do you see?
