Roma, 8 mag. (Adnkronos) - "Mi rende molto felice perché questo libro in realtà parte dalla meraviglia, parte da una fascinazione poetica, infantile, anche volendo bambina, per comunicare qualcosa che in realtà poi tra l'altro noi abbiamo scoperto mentre scrivevamo, cioè che non era solo il mare, non è solo il mare, la scienza, gli organismi che sono alla base della vita nel mare e della vita sul pianeta più in generale, ma è un messaggio di comunità, comunione, perché il mare ci unisce tutti, ci dà beni che noi possiamo prendere e dobbiamo restituire e crea una comunità globale e con questa comunità globale fatta di unione e di totale assenza di confini, di muri, perché il plankton che è la base della vita, è l'elemento fondamentale della rete alimentare e non solo della rete etrofica". "Lui non conosce confini, lui si lascia trasportare dalla corrente e questo è un messaggio sociale, politico e scientifico nella stessa maniera per noi fondamentale, quindi ecco, questo premio rappresenta tutto questo per noi, per cui siamo molto felici - aggiunge - Per me è stato un percorso personale e professionale, nel senso che l'ho scritto con Marta Musso, che è una biologa marina, che mi ha insegnato anche un po' a studiare la scienza come una scienziata e quindi ho imparato a studiare i paper, a condividere e comprendere più a fondo tutti i dati scientifici e anche a comprenderne la complessità. Per me è stato un percorso in cui sono partita senza certezze ma con leggerezza, Marta ovviamente mi ha dato molti strumenti e alla fine quello che io mi porto a casa e Marta si porta a casa è anche capire come trasmettere la complessità, perché se noi ci basiamo su informazioni univoche, uniche, fisse, senza cambiamenti, non arriviamo tanto lontano".
"Se invece comprendiamo che il sistema è complesso e quindi ci sono tutta una serie di aspetti da tenere in considerazione, beh allora forse abbiamo una chiave in più per tradurre il mondo che ci circonda", conclude.

“He doesn’t know boundaries, he lets himself be carried away by the current, and this is a social, political, and scientific message for us that is fundamental in the same way, so here, this prize represents all this for us, for which we are very happy - she adds. For me it was a personal and professional journey, in the sense that I wrote it with Marta Musso, a marine biologist, who also taught me a little how to study science like a scientist and so I learned to study papers, to share and understand all the scientific data more deeply and also to understand its complexity. For me it was a journey in which I started without certainties but with lightness, Marta of course gave me many tools and in the end what I take home and Marta takes home is also understanding how to transmit complexity, because if we base ourselves on unique, fixed, unchanging information, we don’t go very far.”
“If instead we understand that the system is complex and therefore there is a whole series of aspects to consider, then perhaps we have an extra key to translate the world around us,” she concludes.
