A Houston man was arrested and charged Sunday for organizing a cockfighting ring after Sheriff's Office deputies seized more than 100 roosters from his northeast property, officials said.

Harris County deputies, SPCA seize over 100 roosters in deadly cockfighting ring bust

All live roosters were brought into the care of the Houston SPCA and are currently receiving individualized treatment by a veterinary team, according to the nonprofit.
