According to the IPCC, food accounts for 21-37% of global emissions. The IPCC also analysed demand-side reductions, concluding that changes we make to our diets can have a bigger impact than any other end use sector. In fact, we will blow through our carbon budgets for 1.5C and over two-thirds of our 2.0C budget on food alone with our current diets.
