My wife and I visited a tea shop shortly after we started dating. I found an amazing mug that was in the shape of a cow. The feet of the mug were udders. She declared it hideous and wouldn't let me buy it.

I told everyone that story the other day at Christmas.

Today my MiL gave this to me and told my wife she had to let me keep it because it was a gift.
