I'm old enough to remember the 1960's kid's TV show "Romper Room," but never knew what the name referred to, until I came across this 1920 #FamilyPhoto of my Uncle Everett Fischer and his twin brother John Lewis in their "Rompers," or playclothes.

Why are buttons on #childrensclothes so small? I understand the aesthetic but practically, they are impossible to button/unbutton with these huge hands that I have and the child in question is not currently dexterous with the digits to button/unbutton.
