So, tonight while I was at the Jewel, there was a kerfuffle:

Two persons (a couple) shoplifted and were detected. When confronted in the parking lot by security, they assaulted the store security, then ran away on foot.

5 minutes later, a car with 2 unattended children was noticed by security.

CPD was brough into the situation.

Now the offenders have a choice. Be arrested for shoplifting, or be arrested for abandoning their children.

When I bring these things, up people jump to the conclusion that I love #criminals and #crime and that I am okay with whatever traumatic crime was done to them

The armed carjackings are starting early today. Area North Detectives and the FBI Chicago Field Office got their hands full this morning.
