Into episode 13/16 in #KDrama #CheckInHanyang and one advantage of having zero interest in the OTP romance (and increasingly loathing the sight of the ML) is that I'm FFing so much I might get the whole Drama finished before bed time 😂
30 minutes ago I said "I'd very much rather have no romance than poorly executed romance or romance that doesn't add anything to the story." After episode 12/16 of #KDrama #CheckInHanyang I consier it a PRIME example. The romance feels forced, like it was added 'because it had to be'. A romance with the 2ML would have made more sense, but even better imo would have been no romance at all. The whole Sungyungkwan Scandal shtick could have been dropped, in favour of a true Musketeers vibe
Halfway through episode 12/16 in #CheckInHanyang and it'sstarting to feel like it will be a slog to finish. My low-grade discontent with the ML is bubbling into active dislike. And just as the FL starts to actually have some agency, she surrenders it to him because he says she should, no explanation or reasons given? That, and near-certain impending demise of the one character I REALLY like, is going to make finishing this hard work
