1A had a good interview with the makers of a new podcast and HBO docuseries about Charles Stuart and the murder of his wife and unborn child. He accused a "skinny black man" and the police believed him, because it works 90% of the time.
I remember the press covered this for weeks at the time. And I recall this movie, which was a step out of the normal role Ken Olin played. If I recall he did a decent job.

This was a great series. So many issues that are now top of mind nationally wrapped up in this as well. Far from ancient history. Also rekindled my longstanding, burning hatred for Mike Barnicle. What a hateful asshole. #HBO #CharlesStuart #murderinboston #truecrime #racism #Boston

I watched Max's new series on the #CharlesStuart case. Worth it for the archival #Boston area footage alone, but from an informational and narrative perspective it falls apart fast after the midpoint. Also sad to see what I call the "equal time for the aggrieved" style of documentary has spread beyond Netflix...is there a real name for this type of doc where the last third (or more) of it devolves into sad or bitter ruminations of aggrieved parties? Annoying AF, whatever it's called.
