Has been a good weekend of writing. Here's an #excerpt from chapter 20 of the almost finished #volume3 of #mybook #Marianne:
> I hesitated a few seconds before I continued. My thoughts lined up with Marianne's selfish generosity.
"And maybe it's not even me. I know how you feel about me in your imagination, and I know you'll say you don't mind, but I can't offer you the stable relationship you need to be happy. And you deserve to be happy."
I looked at her with great tenderness, and her enormous sensitivity made tears run down her cheeks.
"What's your assessment of Daniel as a man?" I asked her.
She looked at me very intensely for a minute, as if to read my mind - something I can assure you some women can do.
"I believe... I think he's a very interesting man. And very sensitive, and very naif - as I was before. Why do you ask that?"
"Daniel is also a very intelligent man and that necessarily sets him apart from the common people. He's very alone, he lives very alone. If I ask him to invite you to dinner, will you accept? "
"You know I'll do whatever you ask me," she replied.
"No. I don't want you to do this for me, I want you to do it for you and for him, if you can."
Tears ran down her cheeks again.
"I... I don't immediately understand the things that Marianne and you suggest me to do, but I know that when I accept them I always feel better afterwards."
Dangerous? Maybe to you!
