We've welcomed Dr Gabriel Scally's report on progress made in the #health service since the #cervicalcheck scandal.

The progress has been substantial, and we commend both Dr Scally and the Minister for Health for the transparency and sincerity of this process.

Women can now be confident in this programme. We deserve no less.

However, there are still some gaps which have yet to be addressed. Read our press release here: https://www.nwci.ie/learn/article/nwc_welcomes_substantial_progress_in_cervical_screening_programme

What are we to understand from the tragedy of #VickyPhelan’s death and the brave disclosure of her misfortune?

Yesterday on #VickyPhelan passing, I felt so sad and a palpable anger at how she and so many women have been treated. I took part in the #MacCraith report on #cervicalcheck in good faith for a safer screening system for the women of Ireland and I was sadly let down my #government - I was told #simonharris knew of delays affecting 4,088 women but this was denied in the report - this is the reality of how women are still being treated #michaelmartin #paulreid #leovaradkar #tonyholohan #truth
