Anything else works. Edit: To be clear they're banning the platform from access, not individual accounts. This won't get your account banned. Edit 2: Alternate workaround: Spoof a Mac OS / Safari user agent. As you'd expect, "Apple M1" is allowed then.

Not to mention they charge absurdly high fees, absurdly high currency conversions rates and always choose the most inconvenient option whether they are a #bank from #Luxembourg or a #corporation from the #USA.

  • as a matter if fact, Luxembourg's finance regulator, #CSSF, had to literally employ dedicaded staff just to deal with #PayPal doing absurd shite!

#PayPal being a greedy garbage #corporation is nothing new to anyone who had to deal with them.

AFAIK the #CSSF (Luxembourg's financial regulator) had to employ additional Staff dedicaded to complaints re: PayPal.

  • And I'm not shure PayPal pays even remotely enough taxes there to offset that cost...

I'd rather want to switch to #Monero for everything than having to deal with PayPal...

@byte yes, #PayPal is an absolute shitshow and the only way you can get them ti nit be assholes is to instantly complain to everyone from your local consumer orotection agency to their regulators, the #CSSF in #Luxembourg.

They are literally known to randomly close accounts and ban people (through verifyably no fault of their customers) from their services.

  • Also a single person not using said transfer as "PayPal Friends & Family" can get one's personal account frozen alongside assets.
CSSF – The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier is a public institution which supervises the professionals and products of the Luxembourg financial sector.

Which is kinda remarkable as for a tiny state like #Luxembourg I hope that #PayPal generates enough #tax revenue to offset aditional staff just do handle complaints about them.

Remember: a #BankingLicense is a privilegue, not a #Right in the sense that regulators "#MustIssue" or even "#ShallIssue" them...

At least that's what I can tell without violating NDAs with former employers...

I'd recommend writing them an #eMail and seeking legal consultation on pressing charges for #theft against them as well as opening a complaint at their regular #CSSF in #Luxemborg.

And that's why the #CSSF in #Luxembourg literally has people that solely deal with #PayPal and their actions, like holding customers at ransom...

I sincerely hope #Monero will become the predominant casless payment and that people use cash whereever they can't wait 6-8mins for a transaction to finalize...

Also it's literally the worst payment processor on earth and the fact that #CSSF in #Luxembourg as their regulator had to employ people just to handle PayPal's bs is just mind-boggling.

Espechally since they willy-nilly choose to be either a U.S. tech firm or Luxembourg bank however it inconveniences their users and customers the most.
