Current US commemorative coins continue to make headlines. This week it is the dime without an olive branch. Widely noted because it came out the same week Trump captured Venzuelan president Maduro, the coin had nothing to do with the current US administration and was in fact a nod to the US Revolutionary war that created the nation. But as the editor notes, "Despite the confusion and controversy, I'm glad it has people looking at their coins again".

I agree! Keep looking at your coins :)

Trump’s Handpicked Arts Commission Approves Gold Coin With His Face on It.
Many of America’s founders were fiercely against taking steps that would make its government officials appear like kings, and that included featuring them on the country’s coins.

While I would never buy actual #coins from places like Temu, they are good for #religious pieces to add to my collection of #medallions with #bible quotes. Sometimes they are curious when you look closely though. Here is one.

1 Corinthians 16:13 says " Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong." - this piece quotes the second point and the shield is a symbolic image which matches the sentiment.

The other side has Archangel Michael standing over a serpent - straight out of Revelation 12:7-9. Though it references Psalm 46:1 which starts: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble"... Ok, the Archangel defending us from evil, fair enough.

But the text is "Just for today" which doesn't seem to fit at all... Oh and a Narcotics Anonymous square in circle image? Ok, I did get it from Temu...
