A very very important note about @mikrotik CAPsMAN.

There are two different WiFi "stacks" for RouterOS: wireless and wifi-qcom. Both provide CAP/CAPsMAN but they are not compatible. A CAP device using wireless package can't talk to a CAPsMAN device using wifi-qcom (and vice versa I guess).

For example, cAP Lite runs on wireless package and to control it from RB5009 you need to install the wireless package on the latter!

Il y a des masto-users #mikrotik? Je ne suis pas pro, mais utilisateur de #routerOS.
J’aimerais faire une installation en 2.5Ghz uniquement pour petit consommateurs. Les CAPlite semble bien correspondre pour le besoin.Un avis sur la question?

Our annual #MikroTik BootCamp training event of the year is in just two weeks time! I’ll be delivering the #MTCWE and #MTCEWE as well as an extra deep dive session day on the improvements 802.11ax brings as well as how #CAPsMAN handles this new hardware especially as it’s very confusing right now. (Also taking a peek at 802.11be although sadly no MikroTik hardware available yet) Have I finished the slide deck? Of course not! Am I ready? Not yet but I’m on track to get everything done in time. 🤞

As I suspected,
If you use a non-ax device to run capsman (e.g RB4011iGS+RM) it can control both legacy and wave2 CAPsMAN, you just need to add in the right package, but.. if you use ax device (e.g hAP ax2) as the manager you can’t run legacy and wave2 at same time in v7.13beta2
