Listening to the #ButaLiver webradio, and Matsuoka-san is having a lot of fun voicing the titular pig. Looking at his Wikipedia page, he was born in Obihiro, Hokkaido, which is famous for... Pork. A very fitting situation. 
The latest episodes are free on Onsen Radio, do listen to it, it really helps in Japanese immersion since everyone speaks at a realistic pace, i.e. quite fast.
