@finestructure what a week to use the #buffsallin fundraising campaign as an excuse to connect with Mastodon users affiliated with the University of Colorado! We managed to show that the source of 33 of the 1146 donors was Mastodon. Only 3%, but enough to register in marketing reports.
The outages just make it easier to discuss why federated social is growing while the current centralized, walled gardens are just the latest form of AOL.
We’re halfway through #BuffsAllIn! Thanks to the donors who have already made gifts to support #CUBoulder #Libraries programs and scholarship funds.

For 24 hours on March 6, Buffs everywhere will unite behind CU Boulder students and researchers as they lead, innovate and make their impact felt like never before. Each donation will help forge paths where none exist, inspiring Buffs everywhere to reach their highest potential. No half measures, no sitting on the sidelines: We are laying it all on the line, moving forward as one. Let’s show the world what it means to be Buffs All In!
@smellsofbikes now that we're friends, can I have $1? or can CMCI have it?
This morning we were showing the source of 5% of donors being Mastodon, but as the total number of donors has increased in the final hours of the #buffsallin campaign, we're now at 22/680 = just 3%. If you can donate any amount to https://buffsallin.cu.edu/o/university-of-colorado-boulder-55/i/fy24-cu-boulder-giving-day/s/cmci-deans-fund?utm_source=mastodon&utm_medium=organic_social, I'd really appreciate it.
@edwardlau We're maintaining ~5% of donors to #buffsallin coming from Mastodon. Only 14 hours left. It only takes 5 min. Donating any amount helps keep Mastodon listed in the reports.
Can you help?
