With the kids still in Delaware, and my wife working, Daddy hit up TKTS and hooked up Purlie Victorious on Broadway. And it was awesome! Ossie Davis wrote a hilarious, deep work. Kara Young had me vaudeville laughing harder than I have in a while as "Lutiebelle Gussie Mae Jenkins". Leslie Odom Jr.'s preaching monologue about dignity is riveting (and also hilarious).
New York City theater!
