This holiday-shortened week will be condensed further by my travel to Barcelona for MWC starting Friday afternoon. This will be my tenth in-person edition of the trade show formerly known as Mobile World Congress, but this trip will bring one first-time ingredient for me: I’m moderating a panel on information-security issues at the MWC setup of a new nonprofit tech-policy publication called Compiler.
2/13/2024: State of the Net conference features continued crosstalk about net neutrality, Light Reading
I’ve been meaning to write something about how often critics of the Federal Communications Commission’s move to revive net-neutrality regulations completely ignore the digital-privacy rationale advanced by FCC chair Jessica Rosenworcel. 2/16/2024: Google Posts Developer Preview of Android 15: Here’s What’s New (So Far), PCMag
I was quicker than usual to write this, mainly because I’d already planned on taking off most of Friday to go skiing before I got an advance copy of this news from Google PR.
