Wer war St. Brigid - die Schutzheilige Irlands? - Nordische Esskultur

Some impressions from Imbolc. Brigid was invited and honored, potaoes were mashed (and delicious ☺️), candles were blessed. Hope you all had a lovely imbolc!

Baby WItches and folks considering work with Brigid:

This is an excellent time to begin.

A simple way (rooted in centuries of tradition) to start would be to light a candle (e.g. a tealight or whatever you have handy) each night for 19 nights. Then, on the 20th night, set aside time to learn about or just be with Brigid as She tends the flame. /|\ #Pagan #Brigid #Imbolc #WitchSky

#FolkloreSunday #Celtic: `The Three Gods of Art (‘Trí de Dána’) settled in an area called Magh Rein, on the borders of Co Cavan and Co Leitrim. From there, it’s not a long trek to Corleck Hill, where a carved stone head with three faces was found.`
#Brigid’s festival was known to have been celebrated with huge fires on Corleck Hill at Imbolc. Even more intriguing, the Corleck head was not the only such idol to have been discovered there.
The Stone Head of Brigid was said to have been worshipped as a triple deity at a shrine on top of the nearby Hill of Drumeague. Interestingly, her triple aspect celebrated her skills as a poet, a smith and a healer, rather than the typical maiden, mother and crone of womanhood, and thus we see another connection with the crafts of the Trí de Dána.“
