#BrainPowerd is an insane, confusing series.

I really couldn't tell you what the point of the story is. Things are introduced randomly but then never full explained and you're left to to try to figure out what's going on. It's like someone watched Eva and thought they could do better but failed.

Some of the visuals are cool, but the animation overall is pretty mid. The dub is awful and sounds like it was done by someone who has never heard people actually talk.

Would not recommend.

Brain Powerd may be a show largely consisting of proper nouns, but there's some incredible stuff in there like a scene of a sentient mech ice skating. And another mech being kinda romantically into it. And both mechs being male coded pronounwise in the sub at least.

Look I'm just saying this scene comes off incredibly queer no matter whatever galaxy brain het idea Tomino had in mind, and I support these two.

Brain Powerd's commercial bumpers are just a _lot_.

First, the visuals. LASER CONCEPT ART. XD

Second, the soundtrack is by Yoko Kanno, and her soundtrack on Tomino's Turn A Gundam a year later is incredible. The Brain Powerd one is... weird. A lot of the time. She'd already done excellent stuff like Macross Plus, so something odd happened here.
