I just joined people boycotting the wastewater part of our water bills because there were 300,000 untreated sewage discharges into UK waterways in 2022 and shareholders made nearly £1bn in profits over the same period. It’s wrong.

Just had an email from SaS. They have got together with Leigh Day to bring a case of nuisance against Welsh Water.
"This will be the biggest nuisance claim for sewage operations against a water company in the UK and has the possibility to set an important precedent."
I assume this is a class action of public nuisance.
I think this campaign has got the best chance of success that I have seen to date. Clive Lewis is an MP who wants to change the law that allows water companies to trash the environment and rip customers off.
The market has failed to manage our water system, only democracy can turn it around.
