Lots of it was clever. The cinematography was generally very good. The budget poked through onto the screen every so often, but generally they managed a quality result.

Some of the plot twists were clever too. Some were really not. The entire setup of the money being stolen out of storage was a total misfire. Added nothing to the story.

I know I'm not the typical audience. I know I overthink stuff when watching TV shows. My brain sees the formulas and looks for better angles.

Gonna list a few quibbles here for the record.

The narration voice didn't fit the story. The ye olde titles didn't fit either. Lots of scenes felt very contrived to me.

Escalating drama is standard method these days, but I hate it. It actually just makes me anxious. I don't want to escape into a world where everything gets worse and worse. That's already the world we live in. And it takes increasing effort to suspend disbelief in these scenarios. Writers go too far now.
