#MangaMonday “Bloody Sweet” by NaRae Lee
Naerim Shin is a Korean high school girl who is bullied at school and alienated from her (traditional shaman) mother at home. When she unseals a western vampire—Fetechou—who then becomes her servant, everything… doesn’t change.
At least not right away, and then not due to Fetechou’s direct involvement (He’s more of an emotional support vampire. It makes sense in-story.) This is a surprisingly realistic take on bullying given the setup. It does seem largely resolved by volume two’s conclusion, and it looks like we’ll be getting more of Fetechou’s story next (and hopefully develop the lopsided love triangle.)
“Bloody Sweet” originated as a webtoon, so we have full color digital art. It's a #Manhwa (so it reads right to left) but Lee is best known for doing the #Manga adaptation of “Maximum Ride.”
Completed with two volumes in English (Yen Press.) Vol. 3 drops in June.
