Cryoprecipitate is nothing more than a fibrinogen concentrate in 2022.

But don’t forget FFP has a ton of fibrinogen as well! While empiric fibrinogen may have a role in trauma, OB hemorrhage, etc. I always recommend laboratory guided fibrinogen replacement esp in *relatively* stable patients already getting FFP. TEG can be particularly useful in delineating global coagulopathy vs. hypofibrinogenemia AND dysfibrinogenemia #blooducation #Pathstodon #transfusion
