I really enjoyed #BloodstainedROTN, but some talk about the costs of making side-scrolling games in 3D reminded me of the early character concept art and how amazing the game could have looked if it had used hand-drawn art instead.

Plus, the Switch version probably wouldn't have been hit by those immense performance issues.

Assets would have been less modular, sure, but from backer updates I got the impression that they created a ton of extra work in other departments instead.
