#OpenSea, the place you buy and sell monkey JPGs & #Trump NFTs, is (almost certainly) about to be charged by the #SEC. Its the latest in a long line of companies in the portfolio of #Trump converts/megadonors #MarcAndreessen and #BenHorowitz to be indicted.

This is why these #billionaires are backing Trump (see my 📌 toot for more).

Their (mostly crypto & AI) venture capital firm #AndreessenHorowitz/#a16z also backed disasters like:

1. the "let's exploit Filipinos" #AxieInfinity game
2. the recently arrested #BitClout
3. #NorthKorea's favorite money laundry #Uniswap

(A "Wells Notice" is a private letter the SEC sends to say "we're about to indict you, any last words?". Very rarely a co. can talk their way out of trouble but never as far as I'm aware has any co. that made its notice public ever managed to do so.)

I haven't been super active on it recently but I do think they where able to overcome some of the scaling issues it seems #mastodon instances are / will face.

I was able to withdraw some $CLOUT and trade it for $BCH on blockchain.com, so good on them.

However, it's still important to remember that #Bitclout stole identities, facilitates doing so for others, lied about the premine, and used it to artificially inflate creator tokens. Adding withdrawals doesn't absolve them of anything.

In the real world, that's identity theft & misleading investors aka fraud. 🕵️‍♂️
