Ygor@alice The newer show from 2021 sidestepped the issue by referring to people as "berries" instead. I guess it was their way of portraying trans and nonbinary characters without triggering conservative parents too much, since it's still a corporate IP. But it's a lot more progressive and inclusive than the previous reboots, for sure.
