So funny story. That Latin comes from Alcuin. The full quote reads:

"Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit."

Which translates to:

Never listen to those who say "the voice of the people is the voice of God," since the tumult of the crowd is always close to madness.

The only thing I dislike about my slow migration to #mastodon is trying to rebuild my already small network from #BirdMusk. I’ve been over there since 2007. Oh well, it’s not the quantity but the quality. Most of my closest and favorite peeps are already here.
