The first win on #ForgedInFire by mind-blowing bladesmith (and eventual judge) #BenAbbott just got released for free on YouTube; and I was reminded that he's still the only finalist in the show's history who took the entire first day back home to make small versions of the sword out of different materials, so that he'd know for sure what to use for the official version starting the next day. Ten seasons and 800 blacksmiths later, he's still one of the best in the world.

Caught up with this week's Forged In Fire, and watching Ben Abbott forge blades is just an absolute joy. My wife's said for a few years now that if we ever won decent money on the lottery we'd get him to make us something beautiful.
