Testing #BeamEyeTracker (native #Linux build). Mixed results so far, as expected from a BETA.
Games I could successful use it are #ProjectWingman, #FlyDangerous and #FlightOfNova.
👀 This is rather big for #LinuxGaming / #GamingOnLinux because there is to this day no "user friendly" app that does _eye_ tracking using your average #V4L2 _webcam_ and just works™ with #Proton games 😎

(The Beam Eye Tracker is software that turns standard webcams or smartphones into PC eye and head-trackers. It eliminates the need for expensive hardware or wearable gear. Works apparently even with [some] glasses but I wouldn’t know. Did apply for a Linux beta tho 🤓)

I tried the demo and is not working. Opentrack running in the same proton prefix detects it, though, so maybe is not that hard to make a Linux working version? Better native, but maybe through proton is enough... Are there any plans for that?

Dunno if you heard of #BeamEyeTracker before. It's positioning itself next to #Tobii but uses just a webcam and #Opentrack, so probably just #Neuralnet tracker on steroids - but I'd still appreciate if you could chime in for a #Linux build at https://steamcommunity.com/app/2375780/discussions/0/4757578278664103829/ too as it seems to be read by the dev|s.
