You can keep a #BatteryTender connected constantly because it's got a built in cut off device to avoid overcharging which works fine on car batteries but, when I had one hooked up to a motorcycle battery, it fried the battery, even though it was supposed to be safe to use with m/c batts.

I've got 2 cars & a truck that I seldom drive (about 1-2x per month at most & sometimes less than that ) that are always hooked up to one until I need to drive them. No problems with those.

But obviously you need to have access to an AC outlet to use one.🀷

PS: An afterthought . . .

I think the m/c batt got fried because it was not sealed & all of the acid evaporated before I could add more distilled H20 to keep it going. So, it was my negligence which most likely caused the m/c battery to get fried.

All of the car batteries are sealed.

Was having trouble with the truck's battery. Now that we're both WFH 100%, I don't start/drive it enough to overcome the slow drain that various things (including my #HamRadio) causing non-start.

But also put an old-school battery charger on it, then forgot it for 2 days (also not good).

Got a #BatteryTender for it, & picked up another for the #DeepCycle marine battery that I'm using for my mini-shack out in the shed.

I'm hopeful this will be a huge improvement.
