You know, I am not a coder, nevertheless after 29 years in Linux, I just did my first #Git commit to an OSS repository. My first commit to @ownclouders #InfiniteScale, also my first commit EVER. Yes. Believe it or not. I added some markdown stuff to the documentation about #ubernauten, merge is coming.
But I've been working with Git for a long time, and from my @SUSE colleagues I got the recommendation to use the tiny tool #BashGitPrompt (https://github.com/magicmonty/bash-git-prompt) which makes git so much easier.

#BashGitPrompt is a #bash prompt for #Git users.

bash-git-prompt is a script that displays details about the current Git repository in the bash prompt. The prompt displays number of commits ahead, number of files changed or staged, conflicts, stash entries, etc. The prompt supports #fish, colour themes, and environment variables for enabling/disabling displays.
