Some friends are coming for lunch to hopefully enjoy my fusion Nippon offerings to which I try hard to stick with the 5 traditional preparations of: Raw, simmered, fried, steamed & roasted/grilled but the true hero of the table, 2 Bonsai small leaf figs (Ficus Obliqua) #AustralianNativeBonsai
My Huon Pine Forest is progressing nicely #AustralianNativeBonsai
My Kauri Pine (an ancient Qld tree) has needed repotting for 12mths. I've trimmed it's roots & like most of my Bonsais there's no textbook so trial & error has taught me not to cut the biggest root. New soil, a small snip of leaves, some moss & back into it's pot. #AustralianNativeBonsai
Have been spending some time weeding the moss on my Bonsais. Here's my Mount Spurgeon Black Kauri pine before & after. Added some new sandstone, pebbles & moss. #AustralianNativeBonsai
This is my #WollemiPine Bonsai. I've cut it in such a way, it's developing 2 additional trunks. #Bonsai #AustralianNativeBonsai
A Wollemi Pine as a Bonsai enjoying some winter morning sunshine. It's winter caps are just about to burst out & spring growth to follow. #AustralianNativeBonsai #Bonsai #Wollemi
