House prices are nearly three times higher than what they should be in Australia. And they are owned by fewer people. The widening gap between the “haves” and the “have nots”.

For those shedding a tear over house prices falling, these numbers may change your mind

An average home would cost $595,500 now if prices were the same relative to income as before John Howard turned the market into an investor casino

"We're spending 10 billion on killing people and planet with fossil fuels which will be used mainly by billionaires".

fyi @hacks4pancakes @decryption
yes Australia is streets ahead of the USA for healthcare, but bloody hell.

"See, what you need here is a procedure, and if you have private health insurance, I can book you in tomorrow."
Tomorrow was around 6 months ago.
The ABC tells you that healthcare was a winner in the #AusBudget with free emergency medicare clinics?
Sexual + hormonal healthcare eg: abortions + IUDS won't fall into those categories.
Now we get soft #sarahferguson delivering softball easy questions to #dimtim #auspol #ausbudget. Biased, much, Sarah? #abc730
Oh, great, now we've got #abc730 #sarahferguson wasting her interview trying to win points on broken promises rather than ask about the budget. What a fuckwit she is. Why doesn't just jump ship to #skynews #auspol #ausbudget
A loving reminder during the #AusPol #AusBudget that any "relief " for "battlers" magically goes to these two first billionaires first, funding hate and inequality in Australia.
Eg: the fuel excise tax. The diesel tax credit. As Australia's richest farmers, anything to do with farming.
Welfare queens.

Investment of $1 into the NDIS gets you $2.25 back into the community.

Fossil fuels such as diesel kill 1 in 5 people with their emissions, then there's the disasters caused by climate change, the health and safety risks, and so on.

Australia = largest user of diesel per capita in the world. By 2030, we'd have spent $184 billion on the diesel rebate killing ourselves.

Billionaire Andrew Forrest's Fortescue received $300 million last year.

If there are cuts, in anyway, to healthcare, mental healthcare or child welfare, I’ll be reconsidering this gang. Well and very good to assist in global conflicts, but hard to swallow if it’s done to the detriment of those here and now in need.
