I didn’t want any massive storm or flooding, but the rain they forecast never showed up. 1.02mm since midnight. We need rain else it’s going to be a hot, dry summer. A top up of the tanks would be very nice.

Well we got a bit of rain today. Left the office early because I was worried about traffic. Around 4pm and nearly home slowed down to below 50 km/h on the new motorway because I couldn’t see. Didn’t want to pull over and stop though as I was worried about being back ended.
Rain gauge says 76mm of rain since midnight
Argh! Was finally looking like I would get to mow today and tomorrow, but instead a steady morning rain is re-saturating the barely drained top layers of the lawn. Paddocks are all still a quagmire as still are the low areas of my lawn. Hope it passes quickly.
Power is restored. Huge thanks and respect to the power line repair teams.
No loss of food in fridges or freezers. Having a generator was so helpful. If it weren’t for my concern about the cold and frozen storage it would have been a rather peaceful 24 hours. Time to get a second generator and a couple more jerry cans for petrol. Then it would be pretty chill.
Still blowing hard out there.
