Lissabon, Stadt der Melancholie, der Sehnsucht, des Fado, so sagt das Klischee, und nun wir hier, Ende November, vom strömenden Regen begrüßt bei der ersten Begegnung nit dem Stadtraum zur Nacht ..... Bei zweiter Begegnung bereits nass, aber ohne Regen, danach kühl und schön ........ schön....... und ich beginne zu seufzen ........

Lisbon, city of melancholy, longing, fado, so says the cliché, and now here we are, at the end of November, greeted by pouring rain on our first encounter with the city at night... On our second encounter, already wet, but without rain, then cool and beautiful... beautiful... and I begin to sigh...

Retired naval officer Joseph Dituri was asked to stay underwater for over three months as a requirement for a path-breaking study. Scientists wanted to know the effects of living underwater in a pressurised environment on the human body. And guess what, scientists were shocked to learn that Dituri had turned '10 years younger' when he stepped out of his compact pod, after having stayed over three months in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.
