In normal/dry weather, the water goes under the sand, and in very wet weather, it's difficult to cross from one side to the other without wellies.
Recently, it's been very dry and very windy from the east, which is unusual. The new shape of the stream outlet could be a consequence of those factors... or maybe not. 🤷♀️
