REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS

New Hampshire Rep. Annie Kuster has introduced new legislation aimed at protecting the rights of people to access private reproductive health care. The future of in-vitro fertilization has been into question after a recent ruling in Alabama said embryos created through the process should be considered children. Kuster’s new act, the Access to Family Building Act, would ensure people’s right to assisted reproductive technologies, including IVF. Sens. Jeanne Shaheen and Maggie Hassan, D-New Hampshire, are co-sponsors of the legislation in the Senate, and Rep. Chris Pappas, D-New Hampshire, is a co-sponsor in the House.
