I made our church administrator a waste management dumpster truck piñata and I suspended it from the ceiling in her office. I also helpfully left a bat on her desk. Note the bin the truck is hoisting is on fire.

WM has earned the pounding the pinata/effigy is going to receive. To sweeten the deal, the pinata is filled with candy.

Our priest is recovering from cancer, so I made her a pinata. I've never made a pinata before, so the design and execution are less-than-perfect. The "keyboard" is filled with Hersheys Kisses, but they slide all over the place, making the pinata more unstable than a newly-minted teenager. Hopefully, she'll take one look at the silly "emails" on the "screen" and promptly smash the laptop, releasing the Kisses.

Here is my Superb Owl offering: a burrowing owl I made a few years ago from bakable polymerclay. All of my birds have antlers for...reasons, so the owl is, um, extra superb.

Artrocity Studio presents Centaur Ken and Centauride Barbie. Ken sports a broadsword, while Barbie has a bow with arrows. They seem quite happy with each other; one wonders if someday there might be a colt...

To create this project I cut the heads off hard plastic horses I bought at a thrift store, and I broke the legs off the dolls (also thift store finds). I then used an adjustable heat gun set to 550 degrees Fahrenheit to soften the hard plastic to mold it around the doll torsos. I used leather gloves to protect my hands from the heat, as well as safety goggles and a respirator for protection from any chemical fumes released by the heat. I used super glue to fix the torsos in place to the horse bodies. This took about an hour to accomplish.

Finally, I used paper mache to create tunics for both torsos. The broadsword and scabbard are all cardboard. Barbie's bow and quiver are also cardboard. The arrows are toothpicks trimmed and glued together. Painted with acrylic paint. The tunics, weapons, and painting took about a week to complete.

I started my Artrocity Studio about three years ago while I was still working. Since retiring two months ago, I joined https://delrayartisans.org/, an art co-op in NorthernVirginia. My first official exhibit entries, a pair of litter bugs, just sold in two days!

Artrocity Studio observes that insects (as well as other critters) evolved exterior colors, patterns, and shapes as camouflage to hide from predators.

What if insects continued evolving their camouflage for an urban environment? These insects have done so: an M&Ms bug, a Lottery Ticket moth and a scratch ticket butterfly; and a "FOUR LOCO Pregame Sour Blue Raz" beetle.

They are literally...litterbugs.

Trash picked up while on bicycle rides; wire (legs, antennas), air soft plastic BBs -- also found on the ground (eyes), and gobs of Elmer's Glue.

Artrocity Studio presents its latest hybrid critter, combining an Australian sugar glider (a marsupial similar to a flying squirrel) and a Guernsey cow to make...a cream-and-sugar glider.

I imagine someone on a deck, reading a book when a large shadow passes over them. As the person looks up, a 1,000 pound creature forcefully lands on the lawn and starts grazing...

Paper mache, wire, glass beads for the eyes; acrylic paint and fixer.

Artrocity Studio presents the second of a series of "flying fish": a pufferfish hot air balloon. It will be part a future mobile of various light-than-air fishes.

Balloon, paper mache, marbles (eyes), cardboard (gondola), and over 400 toothpick tips for the pufferfish spikes. Acrylic paint and fixer.

Artrocity Studio presents the first of a series of "flying fish": a clownfish derigible. It will be part a future mobile of various light-than-air fishes.

Paper mache fish body, plastic bits from eye drops (engines), plastic bits from flossers (engine strut/extender); acrylic paint and fixer.
